Zine Kween was formed in 2019 by Nick Zomo and Mitchell Lovell after being introduced to the world of zine-making – independent, self-published, magazines. Their zines showcase a mix of irreverent comedy, stream of consciousness, social commentary, poetry and illustration.

They have since been published in Staten Island Zine League’s SIZL 2020 with their short story How to Wash Your Tortilla. They continue to be involved within the zine-making community throughout NYC.

Join The Zine Kween Community

With the belief that the spirit of zine-making could exist within other mediums, Zine Kween has now been expanded into a community driven, art collective that strives to connect with other artists, creatives and enthusiasts in a safe, inclusive and inspirational environment.

With the help of artist Peter Jurado and artist/filmmaker Matthew Provenzano, we have been able to create a plethora of live content that personifies what zines have meant to us since the company’s inception.

Going forward we hope to create more new shows, help give a platform to artists in our community, and, of course, keep making zines.
